This role given to the customer users of StarDust gives access to the basic functions of the site allowing him to follow the progress of the tests on his projects.
Basic role given to StarDust test employees. Gives access to all BugTrapp functions necessary for the tester's missions.
These additional rights allow the analyst (after analyzing documents: specs, storyboard etc...) to write the test steps of a Test Suite, which must be carried out by the testers during a next guided campaign.
The PM manages the projects, the production teams (Analysts/Testers/DMs where applicable) and liaises with the customer. He also has the view on all the projects present on BugTrapp. This is the BugTrapp role of StarDust CDP.
The administrator has additional rights for the good management of the platform and in particular the administration of the rights of the different roles.
The Super-Admin has the additional right to administer the different instances of BugTrapp
BugTrapp. This site, which is a multi-tool platform dedicated to testing (bringing together a BugTracker, a project and test campaign manager and a mobile database).
Time-limited test campaign for which the testers are required to perform their tests.
Can be a mobile, tablet, computer or IoT object. The product to be tested is running on (at least) a device.
Defect / anomaly / error. According to the official ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualification Board) glossary, the word "bug" refers to the term " defect ". The latter is defined as “A flaw in a component or system that can cause the component or system to fail to perform its required function, e.g. an incorrect statement or data definition”. A defect, if encountered during execution, can cause a component or system failure.
These tests are based on the tester's experience. If a tester finds (what he judges to be) a malfunction of the product on his device, he will report a bug in the bug tracker.
These tests are based on a Test suite. If a tester notices a discrepancy in the behaviour between his device and the expected result of the step, he will report a bug in the bug tracker.
After a first test campaign, the customer corrects the reported bugs. Once all the patches are in place, a retest campaign is necessary to ensure that the patches have actually fixed the bugs. During this retest campaign, the tester will have to retest (with the same conditions as the first test - same device, same internet connection etc...) the steps leading to the bugs.
Tool in which testers submit bug tickets. A bug tracker is a software that helps users and developers improve the quality of other software.
More specifically, it is a tool that collects all interactions around a deliverable software. These may include anomalies, development requests, suggestions, etc. Some examples of known bug trackers on the market: Redmine, Jira, Mantis, Bugzilla, QC, Pivotal, Bugherd... For StarDust testers, the Bugtracker used has been specifically developed and is integrated into BugTrapp.
Sheet containing all the information describing a bug. The bug ticket is based on the results of the test phase. Indeed, each defect observed during a test phase can be reported within a bug tracker.
This bug ticket must meet a number of logical and/or project-specific requirements.
The main objective of the ticket is to report on a observed state at a given time.
A test step corresponds to:
Grouping of several steps. It can be a function of a product, a user scenario or any other grouping necessary for the correct reading of the Test Suite.
A collection of test cases describing the tests to be performed.
The degree to which an anomaly impacts the development or use of a component or system.
Set of data necessary for the reproduction of an action such as bank details, customer accounts, date and time of discovery of the defect etc....
Screen picture, captured at the appropriate time (usually when a bug occurs). Necessary to justify a graphic bug.
When an application crashes, a crash report is generated and is stored into the device.... It contains very useful pieces of information for debugging the crashes.
Represents a user's emotional experience using an interface, object or service.
Part or aspect of a software that allows its control by the user.
The body or system of names used in a particular specialist field.
A product listing page or category page is a page on an eCommerce site that lists multiple products within a category, with each product often represented by a photo, a price, and product name.
A product detail page is a page on an eCommerce site that presents a description about a specific product in view. The details displayed often include size, color, price, shipping information, reviews, and other relevant information customers may want to know before making a purchase.
